11 Simple Concepts to Become a Better Leader

You might know Dave Kerpen, CEO of Likeable.

He says that being likeable will help you in your job, business, relationships, and life. He interviewed dozens of successful business leaders for his last book, to determine what made them so likeable and their companies so successful.
All of the concepts are simple, and yet, perhaps in the name of revenues or the bottom line, we often lose sight of the simple things – things that not only make us human, but can actually help us become more successful.  Below are the eleven most important principles to integrate to become a better leader:

Everything you need to know about the PlayStation 4

The PlayStation 4 is real. Sony announced the next-gen console at an event in New York City earlier tonight. The multimedia conglomerate revealed a lot of games while skipping over a few details.

Basic info:

  • Price: Sony didn’t specify
  • Release: Holiday 2013
  • Backwards compatibility with PS3: No (may come later via Gaikai cloud streaming)
  • Backwards compatibility with PS3 PlayStation Network games
  • Free-to-play support: Yes
  • Vita/PS4 bundle: Possibly
  • Used games: Will work on PS4

The world’s most expensive cup of Starbucks coffee

No doubt, it is a revolution! Will Google Glass kill the smartphone? Reinvent gaming? Steal the second screen from tablets? Alter the marketing and shopping landscape entirely?

Probably not completely, and not all at once (since the device won’t be commercially available until next year). But experts predict that the new product could be a game-changer along the lines of the iPhone—one that could send shockwaves across the entertainment, advertising, commerce, media and gaming worlds. Microsoft Escalates Google Battle with Attack Ads

Software giant Microsoft is waging a high-profile, election-style ad blitz against Google. Some experts are critical of the tactics. Continue reading:

Social Media in China

Marketers think that social media in China cannot thrive, due to tighter controls. While the controls are tighter, one must realize that social media is infinitely more open than other media in China, and Sina has built a solid product integrating images, video, structured dialog, and longer tweets.
